Adobe integrates Photoshop, Lightroom, Express and Firefly into Google Gemini, and expands its Claude plugin to more than 80 tools including a new Acrobat editor.

Adobe is accelerating the pace of its rollout into the world’s leading AIs with the announcement it is integrating Photoshop, Lightroom, Express, and Firefly tools directly into Google Gemini conversations. Gemini has a reported user base of over one billion monthly users, partly because, well, it’s Google and it’s everywhere (though, for the curious, ChatGPT hit 1 billion weekly active users around July 2026).

The capability is rolling out globally immediately across all Gemini plans, and can be accessed through Gemini's Personal Intelligence settings. What is it going to help you do? Adobe namechecks things such as applying consistent lighting and color in product photography, adapting one design across multiple social channels while preserving branding, and customizing templated marketing campaigns.

New in Claude

OpenAI’s perpetual rival Anthropic also gets new capabilities in its Claude/Claude Code connector. The Adobe for Claude plugin now covers 80+ tools across Acrobat, Express, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Lightroom, InDesign, and Adobe Stock. To chart progress, it included 50+ tools when it first launched in April.

New Acrobat capabilities include page deletion, combining and splitting PDFs, redaction, format conversion/export, an interactive editor for page reordering, text editing and markup, and a new "Document Review" skill.

New Express tools include a layer-based interactive editor for independent control of images, text, color, and fonts, allowing refinement without regenerating a design from scratch.

Users can access all this via a guest sign-in to the Adobe connector or an Adobe account itself, with the additional detail that an Adobe account unlocks higher usage limits and session continuity.

Again, that rollout starts globally today across desktop, mobile, and web. And just to round out the growing agentic AI story here, Adobe merged its separate ChatGPT apps into a single plugin working with more than 70 Creative Cloud tools back in August.
