Tilta’s new Extended Pro Monitor Mount features a dual-hinge design, NATO rail quick-release, and accessory mount for on-set flexibility.
Tilta continues to expand its accessory lineup with the Extended Pro Monitor Mount.
According to Tilta, the Extended Pro Monitor Mount was developed in collaboration with Matias Mayolo, an Argentinian filmmaker and camera assistant with a passion for technology and functional design. He seems to have come up with a unique extended design that can support multiple configurations for mounting monitors and other accessories.
A double-hinged swivel design allows it to easily raise and lower the height of the monitor, which is ideal when quickly transitioning between shots at different heights so that the operator can maintain a clear view of the screen.
A 1/4″-20 thread with locating points allows users to attach an additional accessory to the mount itself such as a wireless video transmitter or small articulating arm.
Hand screws allow you to tighten and adjust the tension of each articulation point which makes it easy and quick to alter things without interrupting your workflow or reaching for a multi-tool. It also features a NATO rail quick-release system.
The mount on the top is a standard 1/4″-20 screw with two retractable locating pins that support both standard locating pin spacing as well as SmallHD monitors.
Tilta has even thoughtfully produced a quick graphic that shows how much better suited the new arm is to the task than a conventional monitor bracket
