At NAB 2026, Saramonic Director of Sales Diana Wu demonstrates the company's new WiTalk 9X wireless intercom system and its companion WeTalk 9 base unit at the company's show stand.
When it works properly, modularity is a wonderful thing, and the WiTalk9 X personifies the modular approach with three different form factors that can be switched from one to the other in under ten seconds.
The WiTalk 9X is built around an industry first, modular design that allows the unit to be configured for dual-ear or single-ear use, or even worn under a helmet. This enables them to cover multiple use cases from busy trade show floors to loud outdoor environments such as concerts and construction sites.
The system uses true diversity antenna technology, with one external and one internal antenna continuously monitoring signal strength and switching automatically to the stronger source. AI-powered noise cancellation is integrated to maintain call clarity in crowded environments.
In standalone mode, the WeTalk 9X supports up to nine simultaneous users. Paired with the WiTalk 9 base unit, capacity increases to 16 users. And up to four base units can be linked, scaling the system to 64 simultaneous users. And when working at scale a very handy group function divides large deployments into up to eight groups, intended to simplify management across big crews.
The system is managed via a companion smartphone application, with all parameters configurable remotely. USB-C connectivity allows the base unit to connect to a computer, enabling remote communication with team members in other locations over the internet. Pricing and availability were not discussed on camera.
