The E-mount is available separately for those that already have one of these

**Schneider-Kreuznach has added a Sony E-mount option to its growing line of 4K Xenon FF-Prime high-resolution digital cinematography lenses.**

The 4K Xenon FF-Primes are currently offered in 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm focal lengths — with 18mm and 135mm coming in 2016. In truth, they should be named 4K and beyond Xenon FF-Primes, as Schneider-Kreuznach is at at pains to point out that they are designed for the next lurches up in resolution and cover a full-frame sensor (36mm x 24mm).

We were rather taken with the Xenon Primes when we had access to a set (see[ Ready for Prime Time? We test Schneider-Kreuznach's Xenon FF-Prime lenses](https://www.redsharknews.com/production/item/production/item/2663)) and anything that enables people to use them on more cameras, such as the Sony a7s, can only be a good thing.

All the lenses offer 300-degree barrel rotation, are a uniform size and weight for quick lens changes, and feature a 14-blade iris that delivers “outstanding” bokeh. Previously their use was restricted to Canon EF, Nikon F, and PL-mount cameras, so the Sony E-mount option widens the net not only for Schneider-Kreuznach itself, but also any new buyer of a Sony mirrorless unit who has the deep pockets to afford some seriously good glass to go with it.
