Pelican has refreshed its Protector hard case line with a new HPXp polymer shell claiming 12% better impact resistance, redesigned push-button latches, and a modular lid organization system.
Pelican has announced a substantial update to its long-standing Protector series, the hard case line the company has made since 1976. The update introduces a new proprietary polymer formulation, redesigned latches, and a range of new accessories.
The headline change is that the new cases are built from a new HPXp polymer. Pelican says laboratory testing confirms a 12% increase in impact strength over the previous formulation, with improved rigidity under load intended to maintain the O-ring seal during high-altitude transport or deep-sea deployment. A revised color masterbatch process is also claimed to improve UV resistance, reducing brittleness and color fade in prolonged sun exposure.
The Protector series and accessories are available now and the first models released are the 1560 Protector Studio Case at $499.95 and the 1510 Protector Studio Case at $457.95. Details below.
