OWC Express 4M2 Ultra: pre-installed storage, pricing

OWC has released a new version of its OWC Express 4M2 Ultra RAID system pre-configured with its own high performance storage in 4TB to 32TB capacities.

Other World Computing (OWC) first announced the OWC Express 4M2 Ultra at NAB this year, pitching it as the ultimate DIY Thunderbolt 5 RAID platform with a bring-your-own-SSD solution.

It’s an impressively high-performance and compact enclosure, but alongside that the company has now released new versions configured as a ready-to-run machine right out of the box.

The new options come pre-populated with OWC Aura Ultra SSDs in 4TB, 8TB, 16TB, and 32TB capacities, and deliver some impressive performance. Speeds of up to 6622 MB/s can accommodate most creative pipelines with ease even up at the high end, such as 12K RAW video, 8K multi-cam workflows, and large photo libraries.
