The new OPPO Find X10 raises the bar for smartphone photography to an impressive level with up to three 200 MP rear-facing cameras, 17 stops, Open Gate, and a screen with 3600 nits peak brightness.
Another week, another top-flight camera phone from China, but even by the Chinese phone manufacturers’ recent hyperbolic standards, the OPPO Find X10 series, and the Find X10 Pro Max in particular, are something else.
Unlike some recent cracking phones from China, the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max will be available globally through official OPPO stores, with some markets already on sale. OnePlus has stopped launching new phones in North America and Europe, and the excellent OnePlus 16 is China-only, but OPPO is more than ready to fill the gap.
It’s also worth pointing out that they won’t be cheap. The cameras in these phones were co-developed with Hasselblad and, as the old beer commercial put it, are reassuringly expensive. Expect to pay north of $1000 for the Find X10 and not far off $2000 for the Pro Max. Yes, you can get an iPhone Duo for that.
But third, the Find X10 Pro Max is, according to OPPO, the first phone to feature three 200 MP rear cameras. And no, the iPhone Duo does not have those.
The Pro Max telephoto has an f/2.1 aperture and a 10 cm (3.9 in) minimum focusing distance, and doubles as a telemacro camera. Default capture is 26 MP from ultra-wide through 9.9x, while Hasselblad Hi-Res Mode captures 50 MP or 200 MP on supported cameras. The OPPO Hasselblad Teleconverter gives 3.28x optical magnification on the 200 MP telephoto of both phones.
LUMO True Image Engine debuts alongside a New-Generation True Color Camera that captures multispectral color data. The engine brings the tonal approach of Hasselblad Master Mode into the default Photo mode and reduces sharpening, noise reduction, and AI-generated detail.
The Find X10 records 4K60 on all rear cameras, with 4K120 and 8K30 on its 200 MP main and telephoto cameras. The Pro Max goes further: all three 200 MP cameras support 4K60, 4K120, and 8K30.
Dolby Vision, O-Log2, and Open Gate are also coming to Blackmagic Camera, with the optimized version scheduled for November. The Tilta Khronos Creator Kit for the Pro Max includes an additional handle, a 67mm filter adapter, an adapter for the Teleconverter, and an active cooling fan.
The displays measure 6.59 inches (Find X10) and 6.78 inches (Pro Max), with up to 144 Hz LTPO, Dolby Vision, dimming to 1 nit, and 3840 Hz PWM dimming. OPPO claims 3600 nits peak brightness. Both also support the BT.2020 color gamut, which OPPO says covers around 40% more color space than DCI-P3.
Both phones have an OPPO Silicon-Carbon Battery of up to 8000 mAh (7150 mAh in certain markets), 80 W SUPERVOOC wired charging, and 50 W AIRVOOC wireless charging. The Find X10 uses the 3 nm MediaTek Dimensity 9600M chip, and the Find X10 Pro Max uses the 2 nm Dimensity 9600 Pro. Both have vapor chamber cooling.
Both phones also run the new ColorOS 17. OPPO Lab data puts app launch stability up 55% on ColorOS 16, and says over 25% more apps can stay running in the background. AI Mind Pilot with Agent Mode, built with Manus, works with photos and files on the device across multiple steps. AI Photo Agent offers scene-based edit suggestions, natural-language edits, and Style Match from a reference image. AI Photo Agent is rolling out gradually, has monthly usage limits, and supports static images only.
Prices start at €1199 for the Find X10 and €1699 for the Find X10 Pro Max in markets where the phones are on sale, around $1340 and $1900 at current exchange rates. OPPO does not sell phones in the US, so buyers there will need an importer.
