NANLUX has expanded on its light shaping lineup with the introduction of the FE30 (RF-FE-PB) and BE55 (RF-BE-PB) Parallel Beam Reflectors.
Both the FE30 and BE55 reflectors feature a lightweight, portable design with IP66 all-weather protection. This should help provide gaffers and cinematographers with a powerful parallel-beam output for natural-looking light in tight spaces, mobile lighting setups, and detail-fill applications.
• 8° beam angle
• Enhances illuminance by approximately 12 times (FE30) and 23 times (BE55)
• Lightweight & portable, allowing for easy one-handed handling
• Reduces light spill and optimizes beam quality
• IP66-rated protection
• Transparent front cover prevents dust and insect ingress
• FE30: for FE mount and FM mount fixtures; BE55: for BE mount and Bowens mount fixtures ≤800W
The smaller FE30 is engineered for FE mount and FM mount fixtures, while the BE55 Parallel Beam Reflector supports BE mount and Bowens mount fixtures up to 800W (though it is not compatible with the Forza 720/720B).
The reflectors feature an 8° beam angle and are equipped with an internal grid and an external snoot to help reduce light spill and optimize beam quality. The upshot is that when the NANLUX Evoke 150C is combined with the FE30, it delivers approximately 12.1 the output of bare light (5600K, @3m). The Evoke 600C with BE55 achieves about 23.4x greater output (5600K, @5m). The increased illuminance also compensates for long-distance falloff.
The FE30 measures approximately 30 cm (11.81") in diameter and weighs only 1.38 kg (3.04 lb), while the BE55 measures approximately 55 cm (21.65") in diameter and weighs just 5.56 kg (12.26 lb).
The FE30 Parallel Beam Reflector costs $225, the BE55 Parallel Beam Reflector costs $665. Both are shipping now.
