September was a busy month — so busy that it's taken us a few days into October to round it up! IBC managed to be both more hectic than in recent years and optimistic, and there was a lot going on elsewhere too. These are the stories we didn't get to live at the time as our email basically exploded...

Wooden Camera: GFX Eterna 55 Accessory System

Modular system provides new options and flexibility in rigging.

Wooden Camera released its new Accessory System for the Fujifilm GFX Eterna 55. The collection includes a D-Box System, featuring a choice of a Gold Mount or V-Mount D-Box, a Power Strip, a link cable, and a D-Box Support bracket; a Base Plate System that includes a Riser Plate and ARCA Base Plate that keeps your build at the appropriate optical height for mounting lens accessories; a Top Plate System with a 3-plate design that allows for multiple configurations depending on carry handle needs; and LPL Mount, which does what you imagine.

The whole system costs $1635. Head here for the pricing of individual components.

Avid Content Core

A new media asset and process management platform with AI-driven search, provenance tracking, and integrated workflows.

Avid Content Core feels like one of those new platforms that could be significant, but we want to see how it's being used in the real world. Avid says the platform manages media assets and processes as interconnected data rather than isolated files, turning siloed creative tools and media libraries into an interoperable ecosystem. Every asset ingested into the platform receives a unique fingerprint, enabling teams working within the Avid ecosystem to authenticate provenance, track usage, and measure ROI. Advanced AI-driven search and recommendations dramatically reduce time to find and use content, while embedded review, approval, and browser-based editing streamline workflows across distributed teams. Colorfront did its usual trick of swerving IBC and setting up shop in a nearby hotel. There it demoed a whole host of new features for its Transkoder 2025 software, including a new Colorfront Upmap HDR tool for HDR up-conversion, designed specifically to support both extended range broadcast content and legacy content of all source qualities. Its On-Set Dailies added support for RAW digital camera formats and codecs, including Blackmagic Design’s URSA Cine 17K and URSA Cine Immersive cameras, plus ARRI’s Alexa 265 and ARRICORE next-generation recording format.

ELYSAS: MUSE Prime Cine Lenses

Seven compact primes offering a blend of vintage character and modern performance.

ELYSAS released its new MUSE prime line of cine lenses. Previously previewed at NAB, the lenses are now in full production and available to purchase. Billed by the ocmpany as relatively compact and surprisingly lightweight, they feature larger than LF coverage which even covers the full 16x9 frame on Fujifilm GFX sensors.

Currently the set consists of seven lenses: 25mm T1.8, 32mm T1.8, 40mm T1.8, 50mm T1.8, 75mm T1.8, 100mm T1.8 and 135mm macro T2.8. "They have a unique image that sits between vintage softness and modern bite," says the company. "Out-of-focus areas beautifully melt and slightly swirl, letting the subject effortlessly stand out in a pleasing way." Pricing is $2399 per lens.

LucidLink + AWS: Seamless Cloud Rendering

Integration with Deadline Cloud for instant access and scalable compute resources.

This allows creative teams to connect workflows from ingest through rendering without delays caused by downloads, syncing, or just infrastructure getting in the way. LucidLink provides the instant access to data across distributed teams, while AWS Deadline Cloud provisions and scales compute resources on demand. Put them together and you get smooth end-to-end pipelines featuring faster creative iterations, more efficient use of resources, and greater flexibility in the cloud.

Leitz: HEKTOR Mirrorless Cine Primes

Six new lenses inspired by classic M and Petzval optics with modern coatings.

Leitz Cine has entered the mirrorless lens market with the Leitz HEKTOR lenses, a brand new set of prime lenses designed specifically for cameras using mirrorless mounts. The lenses come in six focal lengths: 18, 25, 35, 50, 73 and 100mm, all T2.1. The user interchangeable mount options include E, L, RF and Z for maximum flexibility.

Leitz says the look is inspired by classic M lenses from the 1930s and 1950s, as well as Petzval lenses, to combine pleasing characteristics like dynamic flare, field curvature and spherical aberration into "something that is wholly unique while feeling familiar." The theory is that by utilizing non-aspherical designs reminiscent of the 1980s/90s, these characteristics come into the lenses naturally. Modern touches include coatings that control veiling glare better than older lenses as well as significantly reduced chromatic aberration. The price is very modern too, starting at $7399 per lens.

And finally, the Movavi Video Editor has a new Copy-Paste Effects Tool. Designed to simplify video editing, the company says this lets users quickly apply the same effects across multiple video clips and audio tracks – cutting editing time by over 60%.

Where does that stat come from? “On average, people apply 50 effects to a single video project," explains Dmitriy Gripak, Senior Product Manager at Movavi. "It was a really time-consuming task, especially if you need to reuse filters, color corrections, or slow-mo across an entire project. Now, in just a few clicks, you can just copy and paste all those settings and reduce the time for a family video or podcast editing by over 60%."
