Manchester Creator Connect 2026 | Free Filmmaking Event

Written by Matt Gregory | Mar 12, 2026 6:17:53 AM

RedShark is proud to be supporting Manchester Creator Connect, an exclusive free event we've helped put together for filmmakers, colourists, editors, and content creators who want to get hands-on with the future of HDR workflows.

Manchester has always been one of the UK's main regional centres for production. Over the past 15 years it has grown massively in importance following the development of MediaCityUK at Salford Quays. The BBC is there, ITV is there, and their presence helps ensure that the 200-acre (81 ha) site is now one of the European powerhouses of the television industry.

Manchester has great transport links too, making it a perfect place to hold our latest Creator Connect event and talk to people about workflows and the future of the creative industry.

So, if you're in the UK (or even close to it), why not join us in Manchester on Thursday, March 26 for a free, relaxed evening where you can see cutting-edge creative technology in action, hear from some brilliant industry voices, and connect with fellow creators working across production and post.

ProArt Masters sessions

The event is co-hosted with Scan Computers and supported by Blackmagic Design, and as you'd expect, we've lined up an outstanding speaker roster spanning colour, cinematography and display technology. Kevin Shaw (President & Co-founder, Colorist Society), Brett Danton (Technologist & Director of Photography), Vincent Teoh (Display Technologist & Content Creator), Simon Hall (Product Lead EMEA, Post Production, Blackmagic Design), and Rafi Nizam (Entertainment Executive, Animator, Director & Storyteller) will all be speaking.

That is a lot of expertise in one room. Subjects for discussion include everything you need to know about the HDR workflow, from on-set to final review. The event might be free, but some of the knowledge is priceless.

What to expect

On the night, you'll get hands-on time with the latest ProArt professional displays and Scan 3XS creative workstations built for demanding workflows, plus live demonstrations with the Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive and Blackmagic Pyxis 12K.

There are drinks, food and an exclusive ProArt goodie bag. There's also the chance for one lucky attendee to win a ProArt Display PA148CTV.

The three-hour event runs from 6:00–9:00 PM (reception from 5:30 PM) at Manchester235 — 235Live Event Room. Spaces are limited and registration closes March 20, so don't leave it too late. Register for free now.
