Insta360 Link 2 Pro and Link 2C Pro: AI 4K Webcams Push Toward Pro-Level Video

Written by Andy Stout | Jan 13, 2026 1:00:01 PM

Insta360 has announced the Insta360 Link 2 Pro and Insta360 Link 2C Pro, two AI-powered 4K webcams, claiming close to pro-level camera and mic performance in a desktop-ready form factor.

Both the new Link 2 Pro and Link 2C Pro are built around a 1/1.3-inch sensor, which Insta360 is quick to point out is larger than those used in most webcams. The sensor supports dual native ISO and next-generation HDR, improving low-light performance and maintaining more consistent exposure across changing lighting conditions.

Video output is up to 4K30, with fast Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) via Insta360’s updated True Focus system. A Natural Bokeh mode simulates shallow depth of field for a more cinematic look, keeping you isolated from the background.

Two Models, Two Uses

Insta360 is launching the Link 2 Pro with two variants. Both models use a redesigned magnetic mount for quick attachment to monitors or other metal surfaces. See Full Specifications below for all the details including size and weight.

Insta360 Link 2 Pro

The Link 2 Pro features a 2-axis gimbal that enables smooth AI tracking. Framing options include head, half-body, and full-body modes, with support for single or group tracking. This design is mainly targeting teachers, presenters, fitness instructors, and creators who move while presenting.

Insta360 Link 2C Pro

Uses a compact, fixed camera design intended for conference calls, streaming, and desk-based setups. It offers the same imaging pipeline and AI features as the Pro model, with enhanced auto-framing rather than gimbal-based tracking.

Both webcams integrate with the Elgato Stream Deck, allowing direct hardware control over camera functions. Users can adjust exposure, white balance, and brightness, switch presets, trigger AI modes, or control multiple cameras from a single Stream Deck setup.

Revamped Audio

Audio tends to be overlooked in the webcam sector, which limits the devices' use when it comes to streaming. The Link 2 Pro improves on the norm with a dual-microphone array combining one omnidirectional and one directional microphone. Beamforming and AI noise cancelation are used to prioritise voice clarity while reducing background noise.

Users can select from four pickup modes: Standard provides balanced voice clarity with light noise reduction; Original results in, as you might guess, minimally processed, natural sound; Wide optimised for multiple speakers; and Focus which isolates a single speaker in noisy environments.

The system is designed to adapt dynamically to different spaces, including open offices and shared work areas.

AI Controls & Specialist Modes

Insta360 has expanded its AI feature set across both models from the previous generation.

  • AI Tracking and Auto Framing
Link 2 Pro uses gimbal-based tracking with configurable tracking areas and pause zones. Link 2C Pro relies on adaptive zoom and auto-framing to keep subjects centred.

  • Gesture Control
Hands-free gestures can be used to start or stop tracking, zoom, or activate the units' Whiteboard Mode.

  • Scene Presets
Users can save camera angles, visual settings, and AI configurations and switch between them instantly.

  • Insta360 InSight
Both models support Insta360 InSight, an AI meeting assistant that records meetings, generates transcripts, and produces AI-generated summaries combining key visual moments and text highlights. Notes are synced to the cloud and organised into a searchable archive.

Both webcams also support a range of specialist video modes including a smart whiteboard mode, deskview for overhead desk shots, green screen and virtual backgrounds, and a portrait mode uncropped 4K vertical video for social and mobile-first platforms.

Pricing and Availability

Insta360 Link 2 Pro and Link 2C Pro are available worldwide now via the Insta360 Official Store, Amazon, and authorised retailers. Pricing is $249 for the Link 2 Pro and $199 for the Link 2C Pro.
