Officially debuting next week, Ikan's Lyra PoE (Power-Over-Ethernet) studio lights use just one RJ45 Cat6 cable to provide both power and seamless DMX control.

Simplifying studio setups and minimising cable runs is always a good thing, and the forthcoming Lyra PoE range promises to do just that. The new lights, which come initially in either a 1x1 or low-profile form factor, can be placed with just a single  RJ45 Cat6 cable providing both power and seamless DMX control (compatible with Art-Net or sACN).

The LBX10-POE and LBX8-POE models officially launch next week. But here's what we know so far.

The LBX10-POE 1x1 Bicolor studio panel soft LED light will be $1299 and has the following features:

- 85W PoE++ Light
- Art-Net & sACN DMX
- 1×1
- 97 CRI COB LEDs With 1/2 Stop Soft Diffusion Panel
- Silent Fanless Fixture
- Bi-Color Adjustable 3200K-5600K
- Consistent Light Across All Color Temperatures
- Beam Angle 110 Degrees
- Built-in Barndoors With Integrated Clips
- Artifact Free Clean Shadow
- Combo Pin

Pricing for the low profile LBX8-POE is yet to be set, but here's the features list:

- 50W PoE++ Light
- Art-Net & sACN DMX
- Low Profile for Low Clearance Areas
- 97 CRI COB LEDs With 1/2 Stop Soft Diffusion Panel
- Silent Fanless Fixture
- Bi-Color Adjustable 3200K-5600K
- Consistent Light Across All Color Temperatures
- Beam Angle 110 Degrees
- Built-in Barndoors With Integrated Clips

More, chaos and challenges of CES willing, next week with the full details...
