Hollyland's Astra P1 PTZ is now on sale at $1,999, offering 4K60 imaging, 30x optical zoom, AI tracking, and a bundled NDI|HX3 license.

After first showing it at NAB 2026 in April, Hollyland has launched the Astra P1, a UHD 4K pan-tilt-zoom camera aimed at live production and the corporate, event, and faith sectors.

8.42MP and 30x optical zoom

The camera uses a 1/1.8" CMOS sensor with 8.42 effective megapixels, paired with a 30x optical zoom lens with a maximum aperture of f/1.61 and a focal range of 7.1 mm to 210 mm. Digital zoom extends to 16x. Video output reaches 4K60 over HDMI 2.0, while 3G-SDI tops out at 1080p. Minimum illumination is rated at 0.5 lux (with AGC on).

Two AI features are on board. Face Detection AE adjusts exposure in real time to the tracked subject's face. AI Auto Tracking offers two modes: Presenter Tracking follows a subject by analyzing posture and motion, while Zone Tracking lets operators define up to four areas (podium, whiteboard, demo table, and so on) and transitions between them as the subject moves.

An NDI|HX3 license is bundled at no extra cost. A single PoE+ Ethernet cable carries 4K video, audio, power, and control simultaneously. Concurrent HDMI 2.0, 3G-SDI, USB 3.0, and LAN outputs are also supported, along with main and sub streams. Compression options are H.264, H.265, and MJPEG. Streaming protocols include RTMP(S), SRT, RTSP, and Multicast. FreeD is supported for AR/VR virtual production.

Control is via VISCA, Pelco, or a browser-based interface, and the camera integrates with Blackmagic ATEM, TriCaster, vMix, and OBS.
