Godox's KNOWLED PL600RF and PL1200RF launch with the new PaletteLab full-spectrum color engine, priced at $1,990 and $3,490 respectively.

Godox has launched two flagship fixtures in its KNOWLED lineup, the PL600RF and PL1200RF, aimed at film production, commercial advertising, and studio work. They were trailed at NAB, and are among the first lights to use Godox's new PaletteLab full-spectrum color engine.

PaletteLab introduces a multi-channel spectral system designed to improve color fidelity and consistency across complex lighting setups, including skin tones, fabric, and mixed-light environments.

Color performance specs include:

  • CRI up to 99 (R9 ≈99) for red and skin tone reproduction

  • TM-30 Rf ≈97

  • TM-30 Rg ≈101

  • SSI D32 ≈93, D55 ≈90.

The fixtures cover 92% of the Rec.2020 color gamut, giving access to more than 281 trillion colors. PaletteLab includes three calibrated response curves: Godox Curve, Blackbody Curve, and Daylight Curve.

The 600 W equivalent KNOWLED PL600RF weighs 8.4 kg (18.5 lb), and the 1200 W equivalent PL1200RF weighs 11.3 kg (24.9 lb).

The lights also include integrated CRMX wireless DMX control, IP65-rated construction for outdoor and studio use, and a flat Bowens mount for compatibility with a range of modifiers. Both fixtures have an all-in-one design with the power supply built into the body, removing the need for an external adapter.
