Written by Andy Stout | Aug 1, 2026, 6:42:00 AM

Frame.io's recent updates add a full-screen search page, an updated Comparison Viewer with Pixel Diff, a redesigned iOS app, and new integrations with Leica, Adobe, and Accsoon.

Frame.io has shipped six updates over the past two months, spanning search, review tools, mobile, and new integrations. Here's what's new:

Full-screen search

A dedicated search page is now available from the search icon in the side navigation, or one click from the search bar (queries carry over automatically). Users can toggle between Standard and AI-powered search, filter by project and object type, preview results without opening each asset, and select multiple files to move, copy, download, or delete in one pass. Search also indexes asset notes, not just filenames. Available on all plans.

Comparison Viewer

Updated to let users drag a slider to reveal an overlay between two versions side by side. A new Pixel Diff feature highlights exact changes. Works with image and PDF comparison, provided both files share the same dimensions. Available on all plans.

iOS app redesign

The Frame.io iOS app has been rebuilt on Apple's current design system, with updated menus, controls, and spacing throughout. The app now supports Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish, in addition to English and Japanese. Inbox users will also see recent Share activity in the Notifications tab.

New integrations

  • A Frame.io panel for Adobe After Effects lets users export renders to Frame.io and receive comments back inside their compositions.
  • CuttingRoom Cloud Editor now pulls footage from Frame.io directly onto a browser-based timeline and sends finished edits back, without downloading or re-uploading.
  • Leica's SL3-P integrates Frame.io Camera to Cloud (C2C) natively, sending photos and video, with signed Content Credentials, to a Frame.io project as they're captured.
  • Silverstack Lab v9.3 (Pomfort) integrates Frame.io Version 4 into its offload and dailies workflow, letting DITs upload dailies automatically with progress tracking.
  • The Accsoon CineView M7, M7 Pro, and M7H Pro now support Frame.io C2C, bringing native cloud upload to the first Android-based wireless monitors.

All integrations are available on all plans.

Adobe Top App Bar

Frame.io now appears in Adobe's Top App Bar alongside other Creative Cloud apps, letting users switch to it from within Premiere, Photoshop, or other Adobe apps without losing their place. Available on all Adobe-managed Frame.io accounts.

Share Lists

Users can now build named, reusable lists of collaborators and email addresses, and add them to any Share in one click. Lists can be set at the account level or workspace level. Any Edit + Share member can use a list; Content Admins create and manage them. Recipients get free Reviewer access with no additional paid seat required. Available on Pro plans and above.
