DZOFILM's Octopus II adapts PL lenses to Sony E, Canon RF, Nikon Z, and Leica L camera bodies, from $199. The Marlin 1.4x Extender extends Super 35 lenses to full-frame coverage, from $799.
DZOFILM has launched two new lens accessories: the Octopus II multi-mount adapter and the Marlin 1.4x Extender, both available now.
The second-generation Octopus Adapter II adapts PL lenses to Sony E, Canon RF, Nikon Z, and Leica L camera bodies, covering Super 35, full-frame, and medium-format sensors. Compared to its predecessor, it offers 7.12% more internal space, improving compatibility with DZOFILM's Arles, Arcana, Vespid, Catta, Pictor, and Gnosis cinema lenses, among others.
The new design is up to 49% lighter, from 178 g (6.3 oz) depending on mount configuration. The body is aluminum with a stainless-steel mount rated for more than 100,000 cycles at 0.01 mm precision.
The redesigned handle includes directional guides to ease lens changes on handheld and rigged setups. A detachable 1/4"-threaded base allows the center of gravity to be shifted onto the adapter, reducing stress on the camera's native mount. Flange focal distance is factory pre-set, removing the need for calibration.

The Marlin 1.4x Extender multiplies effective focal length by 1.4x with less than one stop of light loss, and extends coverage of Super 35 PL lenses to full-frame sensors (also E, Z, L, and RF). Optical construction uses high-refractive-index SR elements and large-diameter aspherical lenses; the interior is flocked to reduce stray light.
DZO says the Marlin controls chromatic aberration to preserve the source lens character. An integrated back-focus adjustment system removes the need for shims or lens removal during setup. Both mounts are stainless steel.
