Huge price reduction for Blackmagic Cinema Camera

Grant Petty sent out an email today touching on a variety of different topics. He claimed that the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera was now shipping, and as reported earlier, the Blackmagic Production Cinema 4k's release will be pushed back 3 or 4 more weeks.

But probably the biggest announcement in the email was a massive price reduction on their current Blackmagic Cinema Camera. Both EF and MFT mount BMC cameras have $1,000 taken off the price! You can get either camera now for only $1,995 (yesterday they were $2,995). This price will also be honored if your order has not been filled yet.

The advantage of the 2.5K sensor is it has enough resolution to eliminate the bayer resolution loss of a HD sensor, but when shooting RAW it produces files that are too not to big to store and work with easily. It's a fantastic solution.
