Atomos Shinobi 7 II: specs, price and release date

Atomos has unveiled the Shinobi 7 II at IBC2026, a 7-inch HDR monitor with USB-C camera control and the brightest screen in the Shinobi range yet.

Atomos has announced the Shinobi 7 II, a 7-inch, 2800 nit HDR monitor that combines monitoring tools with USB-C camera control. It's now the brightest display in the Shinobi range, and Atomos claims it is 40% smaller than the first generation models (not to mention 600 nits brighter), though exact weight and dimensions haven’t been revealed as yet.

USB-C camera control lets users adjust aperture, shutter speed, ISO and white balance directly from the monitor. Compatible cameras also support touch-to-focus and remote shutter release for photography workflows.

The monitor supports Log, HLG and PQ signals for real-time monitoring of more than 10 stops of dynamic range, with built-in 3D LUT support for previewing the final look. It includes Atomos's full monitoring toolset: EL Zone, false color, waveform, vectorscope, focus peaking, zebras, RGB parade, anamorphic de-squeeze, multiview analysis, frame guides and grid markers.

On-device calibration is supported using compatible probes (sold separately), removing the need for a separate computer. Connectivity includes HDMI input and output up to 4K30, plus USB-C for camera control, power delivery and calibration. Power comes via USB-C PD, Sony NP-F batteries or an optional DC battery eliminator, and custom LUTs and firmware updates load via the integrated SD card slot.
