The new Atomos Ninja RAW delivers ProRes RAW recording and precision monitoring in a compact 5-inch (12.7 cm) form factor.
Alongside the cameras and lenses at CP+ 2026, Atomos has introduced the Ninja RAW, a new 5-inch HDR monitor-recorder positioned as an entry point into the company’s Ninja range.
The Ninja RAW features a 1500-nit, 5-inch (12.7 cm) Full HD HDR touchscreen designed for both indoor and outdoor monitoring and 50% brighter than its predecessors. It records over HDMI at up to 6K30 directly from supported camera sensors in Apple ProRes and ProRes RAW formats to CFexpress Type B cards or external USB-C storage. It can also record H.265, depending on camera output compatibility.
It also supports ProRes in many flavors: ProRes RAW, ProRes RAW HQ, ProRes LT, ProRes 422, and ProRes 422 HQ, providing many smooth routes into different NLEs. Alongside recording, the Ninja RAW includes USB-C camera control for supported models, allowing operators to adjust parameters such as start/stop, ISO, shutter, aperture, and white balance. Monitoring tools include EL Zone false colour, waveform, focus peaking, vectorscope, and related exposure aids.
Atomos also highlights an Onion Skin overlay mode, which allows frame-to-frame comparison for continuity work, animation, or VFX alignment. Connectivity is handled through dual USB-C ports that support external drives or optional network adaptors.
Power options include NP-F batteries, USB-C power banks, or DC input, enabling use pretty much anywhere. The unit measures 151 × 92 × 36 mm (5.94 × 3.62 × 1.42 in) and weighs 400 g (14.1 oz), keeping it in line with the typical Ninja camera-top footprint.
The Atomos Ninja RAW is available immediately through resellers and the Atomos web store. Pricing is listed at $699 / €699.
