Featuring a 2.5-slot width with boosted thermal design for a balance between compatibility and performance, the new ProArt GeForce RTX 50 Series also integrates DisplayPort over USB Type-C.
Featuring NVIDIA Blackwell architecture with DLSS 4 upscaling, the ProArt GeForce RTX 50 series is designed to bring next-level performance to creators, with both the ProArt GeForce RTX 5080 and ProArt GeForce RTX 5070 Ti on the way. DisplayPort over USB-C makes it easy to hook up a portable display or even several displays via daisy-chaining, where compatible. And bolstered by a suite of NVIDIA RTX 50 technologies, including Multi Frame Generation and enhanced Ray Reconstruction, Super Resolution and NVIDIA Reflex 2 with Frame Warp, the cards have a sizable 16GB pool of GDDR7 on board that can cope with most maxed-out graphics settings. They also feature the ability to deliver up to 1858 AI TOPS for locally handling AI-intensive tasks such as ASUS' own MuseTree image generation software.
Reflecting recent trends in PC builds, the cards also include a wood-patterned laminate trim on their rounded front edges. Indirect, minimal Aura Sync lighting customizable in Armoury Crate makes sure that this unique look isn’t lost in shadow once the whole set up is up and running.
Whether that's a cool feature or not is down to the individual user, but there is definite more serious cooling elsewhere. The cards feature the ASUS-exclusive MaxContact design with vapor chamber cooling, which provides efficient heat transfer from both the GPU and VRAM. There's innovation elsewhere too. Between the cards' heatsink and the GPU, traditional thermal paste has been swapped out for a premium phase-change thermal pad. The idea is that this not only optimizes heat transfer but also the longevity of the thermal interface material. Alongside this, a trio of Axial-tech fans keep a steady stream of cooling air moving through the heatsink while minimizing distracting fan noise.
A slimmed-down 2.5-slot design means it can fit into many smaller PC cases. ASUS says that creators are more likely than others to populate their PCIe x16 expansion slots with add-in cards that boost their system’s capabilities or connectivity, so a narrower graphics card here definitely makes room for more functionality.
ASUS GPU Tweak III software provides an in-depth look at a card’s specs and status and makes it easy to adjust various parameters, whether users want to change their RTX 50’s performance mode or overclock it in a single click.
TBA on this for the moment, but as a very rough guide when Nvidia announced the RTX-50 Series back at CES the RTX 5080 started at $999 and the 5070 Ti: $749. Expect these to be north of that. The ProArt GeForce RTX 5080 will be on sale 'sooner rather than later', depending on your region. The ProArt GeForce RTX 5070 Ti will arrive later in 2025. We'll update when we can.
