The new Motorized CF16 Fresnel is a compact, motorized Aputure Mount Fresnel lens designed for use with the STORM XT52.
The Motorized CF16 Fresnel is a compact Aputure Mount accessory with a 16-inch (40.6 cm) diameter lens and a motorized spot-to-flood range of 18°—50°. Designed for use with the STORM XT52, Aputure says it boosts the fixture’s native light output by up to seven times while maintaining a smooth falloff from center to edge.
Its internal focusing system adjusts the distance between rear and front elements without changing the unit’s overall size, keeping the form factor compact and lightweight. The built-in motorized focusing can be controlled in a variety of different ways: directly at the lamp head, via Sidus Link or Sidus Link Pro, or through a lighting console via DMX.
Dimensions are 56.4 x 51.9 x 23.4 cm / 22.2 x 20.4 x 9.2i n. Weight is 11.80 kg / 26 lbs.
The CF16 comes with 8-leaf barn doors for beam shaping, which also feature a scrim holder. Both the Fresnel and barn doors fit into the CF16 Rolling Case or Flight Case for storage and transport.
For users preferring manual operation, an optional CF16 Fresnel Manual Focus Cover is available. This cover is required for safe operation, as it powers the onboard fans and ensures the unit retains its IP65 weather-resistant rating.
The Aputure CF16 Barn Doors Adapter is also available. This is an aluminum alloy accessory adapter that allows users to directly adapt the CF16 Barn Doors to the STORM XT52, Electro Storm XT26, or Electro Storm CS15 via the Aputure Mount without the need to attach the Barn Doors to a CF16 Fresnel.
