Adobe has made three of its most widely used creative and productivity apps — Photoshop, Adobe Express, and Adobe Acrobat — available directly inside ChatGPT.
Adobe has been accelerating its involvement with AI over the course of 2025, and has been pushing at speed into conversational and agentic AI. Earlier this year the company introduced Acrobat Studio, an AI-driven workspace for interacting with PDFs, and released AI Assistants for Photoshop and Adobe Express. The company has also previewed a forthcoming Firefly assistant designed to work across multiple Adobe tools.
This integration with ChatGPT is something altogether different though, and enables ChatGPT's estimated 800 million weekly users carry out image edits, create designs, and work with PDFs without leaving the platform. OpenAI has been building its app integrations with its erstwhile chatbot for a few months now. Roll out is widely enabled but not 100% available as yet across all countries and platforms.
The three apps work via simple text prompts and combine ChatGPT’s conversational interface with Adobe’s established toolsets. Users can make basic photo edits, adjust design templates, or modify documents by describing what they want to do. For more granular control, Photoshop also exposes familiar UI elements such as sliders for adjusting settings like brightness or contrast.
Accessing the tools is designed to be straightforward: typing an instruction such as “Adobe Photoshop, help me blur the background of this image” automatically loads the app and guides users through the process.

The integration also allows users to hand-off work to Adobe’s desktop apps if they need more advanced tools to continue working on a project.
Photoshop, Adobe Express, and Acrobat for ChatGPT are free and available now on ChatGPT for desktop, web, and iOS. Adobe Express for ChatGPT is also available on Android, and Android support for Photoshop and Acrobat inside the conversational AI platform is coming soon.
