Adobe has announced that Firefly subscribers can create unlimited generations with its various AI image models, though the unlimited offer is only available for a limited time.
Adobe says that 86% of its users now incorporate generative AI in at least some capacity as part of their daily workflows. And more than just that, how they're using it is changing. The company reported at the end of 2025 that Firefly prompts had doubled in length over the course of the year, from an average of 23 characters in January to 47 by December 2025.
The new offer means that Firefly subscribers can now really lean into those prompt lengths and create unlimited generations. This applies not just to Adobe's commercially safe Firefly AI itself but all the industry-leading image models it has access to, including Google Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image Generation, and Runway Gen-4 Image.
Unlimited generations are available on firefly.adobe.com, in Firefly Boards (Adobe’s dedicated collaborative, AI-powered 'ideation surface'), and in the Firefly mobile app on iOS and Android. Given the speed with which a full-on ideation session can eat through AI credits, it seems a pretty good deal too.
There are a couple of caveats to this, though.
First, the offer expires on March 16, Adobe presumably wanting to cap the data center load at something manageable.
Second, it applies to unlimited image and Firefly video generations only up to 2K resolution.
And third, the offer applies to new and existing customers on Firefly Pro, Firefly Premium, and credit add-on subscriptions. In other words, not the 2000 credit, $9.99 a month Firefly Standard. However, given that Firefly Pro is $19.99 a month, that's not too high a barrier.
