Adobe's policy of integrating the latest and best image models into its own Adobe Firefly AI continues with the addition of Gemini 3 (with Nano Banana Pro) into the suite.
Adobe has a growing number of partner models that it offers under the aegis of Adobe Firefly, with the list now being built out to include Black Forest Labs, ElevenLabs, Google, Ideogram, Luma AI, Moonvalley, OpenAI, Pika, Runway and Topaz Labs. The addition of Gemini 3 adds the highly regarded Nano Banana Pro model to its quiver, and ensures it stays as cutting-edge as possible.
It's a strategy that is working out well for the company too, and reflects how creators are using AI tools in their work.
"Creators tell us that they use different models for different tasks," writes the company. "In our recent global study of 16,000+ creators, more than 60% said they use multiple creative AI models to match the right tool to the right task. So we’re making it easier to work the way you want, right inside our apps."
The Nano Banana Pro model has its own specialties and delivers significant improvements in editing quality, allowing users to use text prompts to refine specific parts of an image, adjust aspect ratios, boost resolution, and shift camera angles and lighting. It also excels at generating clean, well-integrated text inside images and can localize visuals with translated text. And by drawing on Google Search’s knowledge base, the model can generate factually accurate visuals.
Nano Banana Pro is being first deployed in the Text to Image feature in Adobe Firefly. The model is also available in the AI-powered collaborative moodboarding surface, Firefly Boards, and is the latest model powering Generative Fill in Photoshop, following in the wake of the original Nano Banana and Black Forest Labs’ FLUX.1 Kontext Pro.
