Previously only available to users of iOS devices, the SeeMo 4K HDMI Adapter for Android opens up the company's tech to more smartphone users.
As Accsoon points out, the latest generations of Android phones and tablets feature incredible clear, bright displays that rival, or even surpass, those of dedicated on-camera monitors. We're used to saying this of iPhones, but there are plenty of Android models out there that rival the visuals of Apple machines. And they're usually a bit cheaper as well.
Hence the new SeeMo 4K HDMI Adapter for Android, which fits a wide range of later Android phones.
The Accsoon See App has a redesigned look. It features a full suite of on-screen touch controlled tools including waveform, histogram, LUTs, focus peaking, false color, zebras, audio level meters, mirror image, image overlay, grid lines and even anamorphic desqueeze.
As well as that, the unit features the ability to apply a creative LUT for viewing which can also be burned directly into the recorded or streamed footage. This is especially useful when shooting Log footage internally on a camera, while at the same time burning a look to streams, or recordings for immediate upload.
It allows for 4K H.264 recording directly to an Android device’s camera roll. Users can stream directly to YouTube and other popular video platforms using the phone directly for data and IP connectivity or via RTMP and SRT protocols.
The unit weighs 112 gram / 3.95 oz and is powered by a single NP-F type battery that can also be used to charge the phone or tablet simultaneously. It also provides a handy 5V USB output to power smaller devices such as wireless microphone receivers. Users can choose the audio coming from the camera, or an audio source connected to the Android device, including its in-built microphone.
The Accsoon SeeMo 4K HDMI adapter for Android will be available for purchase at an MSRP of $149, with shipping starting this month.
Accsoon says the SeeMo 4K HDMI adapter has been tested on the following devices.
