Accsoon CineView SE 4K: 4K wireless video transmission and camera control for $499

Accsoon has announced the CineView SE 4K, an evolution of its popular CineView SE wireless video transmission system that adds 4K resolution, H.265 encoding, wireless camera control, and a new USB-C video output.

The headline upgrade for the new Accsoon CineView SE 4K is support for UHD 4K30p, which is a significant step up from the original CineView SE's 1080p60 ceiling. H.265 encoding is used to handle the increased data efficiently, with Accsoon claiming cleaner images and smoother motion at equivalent bitrates compared to H.264.

The system uses Accsoon's patented dual-band transmission (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz) running its proprietary RTMS 4.0 protocol. Transmission range is rated at 400 m (1300 ft), up from 350 m on the original SE, and latency is quoted at under 50 ms for 1080p and under 100 ms for 4K30.

Camera control

A notable new feature is wireless camera control via the Accsoon SEE app, supporting touch focus and record triggering as well as shutter speed, aperture, ISO and white balance options in the top status bar of the monitor. Compatible cameras currently include the Sony FX3, FX30, A7C II, A7S III, A7 IV, and A9 III, plus the Canon R5, R6, R5 II, R6 II, R7, and R8. Camera control works via Wi-Fi connection to the transmitter only; it's not available through RX USB connection.

Accsoon says β€œit is committed to adding additional cameras from other makers, as well as additional Canon and Sony models.”

Connectivity and more

Connectivity has also been expanded. The CineView SE 4K supports one wired and four wireless connections simultaneously, whereas the original SE maxed out at four receivers in total. Both the transmitter and receiver now include USB-C video output, useful for wired monitoring, mobile charging, or camera-to-cloud workflows.

While the system includes 12 levels of adjustable bitrate, allowing users to optimize performance for different production needs, it is worth noting that when the transmitter's HDMI input is 4K, the receiver's SDI output is not available. SDI input on the transmitter is also limited to 1080p.

The unit integrates into Accsoon's broader CineView ecosystem, with cross-compatibility with CineView M7H Pro, Master 4K, and Master 4K Lite devices. It also works alongside CoMo II intercom systems.

Weight comes in at 245 g (0.54 lb) per unit without antennas. Power is via NP-F battery support and 7.4–16.8 V DC input. A 1.05-inch full-color LCD provides status information and menu navigation.

Pricing and availability

Pre-orders for the Accsoon CineView SE 4K are open now for $499, with availability later in March. This is $150 less than the SE was when it launched in 2022. That is still available and is now further discounted to $399.
