MPC / Paramount Pictures / RedShark NewsTerminator: Genisys VFX Breakdown by MPC

In a recently released VFX breakdown, we see what's behind the digital rebirth of young Arnold Schwarzenegger as the T-800 Terminator.

Periodically, we feature VFX breakdown videos that offer a glimpse at the process for putting together some of Hollywood's most visually spectacular films. Likewise, we also feature videos that exhibit where we're at regarding the production of CGI humans that increasingly double for the real thing in movies and, especially, games. The following VFX breakdown from Terminator: Genisys is a two-for-one proposition, revealing the layers of work necessary to recreate the youthful Arnold Schwarzenegger from the original film.

The portion with the young Arnold begins at approximately 0:50 in and goes until around 2:25, but check out the entire breakdown, as there's plenty of VFX eye candy on offer.

Let us know in the comments if you're convinced by the recreated T-800 depicted in the video.
